This course is designed to help commercial contractors better understand the causes of many rigid core flooring issues in order to better avoid them. To do this, we must understand the influence that site conditions, product selection, product usage and maintenance can have on flooring products in a residential, hospitality and light commercial environment. First, we will discuss the causes of various site related issues that can affect rigid core flooring. Next, we will discuss how project-specific flooring selection is critical to maximizing performance. Understanding final usage is also a crucial part of ensuring rigid core flooring products perform correctly. Finally, we will review the importance of proper maintenance, especially immediately following installation, in order to ensure the long-term success of the flooring installation.
