During this presentation we will discuss chemical make up of a concrete surface and why it’s important to the commercial flooring contractor. Concrete may look and feel like stone but it is made from a complex chemical reaction. Many of those chemical compounds remain free and soluble on the surface which can cause problems such as adhesive degradation and moisture buildup. We will discuss this chemical reaction, the chemical nature of the concrete surface, how to detect potential problems and methods to correct situations that could lead to floor failures.
